May Long Weekend // Semiahmoo Fish & Game Club

We ended up not going camping as the usual this past May Long Weekend... but did still get to spend some time outdoors at the outdoor range at Semiahmoo Fish & Game Club.  I ended up bringing my "good" camera this time around (Nikon D300s) and snapped these photos instead of the usual iPhone shots we take.  We even had our very own visitor... a deer came to check out what we were up to and stuck around for quite a while!

Our bows... PSE Nova, Win & Win SF, Bear Game Over
Managed to capture a shot with the arrow in flight!

3D Shoot for the Cure // Semiahmoo Fish & Game Club

This weekend, my husband Steve and I had a weekend full of archery at our club, Semiahmoo Fish & Game Club for the 3D Shoot for the Cure.

Last year, Steve and I just picked up archery as a hobby and we figured by now we'd be able to shoot a round without losing too many arrows in the 3D shoot. :)  It was a lot of fun (and I only lost one arrow, haha... better than I expected!)

Incase you're not entirely sure what a 3D shoot is... 3D archery is a form of target archery (and it's addicting and tons of fun!).  Targets are set along a course, in this case along the nature trails in the woods of Semiahmoo Fish & Game Club.  The challenging part is that you have to guess how far the target is... it can range from 20-50 yards.

We had a great time, met a lot of new friends from our club (Semiahmoo Archers) and received some great advice and tips throughout the weekend from some of the experts! :)

Indoor Range // Semiahmoo Fish & Game Club

We were able to get some practice in tonight at Semiahmoo Fish & Game Club's indoor range.  I hope we're ready for the 3D shoot this weekend!

For anyone that's interested (and lives near the Surrey, BC area) - Monday and Thursday nights at Semiahmoo Fish & Game Club are archery nights!   It's a great place to practice or learn if you are brand new and interested in archery!
