Indoor 3D Turkey Shoot // Maple Ridge

There aren't a lot of 3D shoots going on this time of the year, simply because it's a bit COLD for outdoor 3D shoots, but Maple Ridge Archery Club did host an indoor 3D shoot this past Sunday! (and it was still COLD, haha!)

The Indoor 3D Turkey shoot took place in the Albion Beef Barn at the Maple Ridge Fairgrounds.  Even being inside it was a bit chilly, but that didn't stop everyone from having a great time.  This shoot was called a "turkey shoot" because you could actually win a frozen turkey!  For those that scored a perfect 150 (only one shooter this time around!) they won a turkey and the rest were put up for door prizes along with some other archery prizes.

This was probably the smallest 3D course I've shot - with only 15 targets, but it was still pretty challenging since no one was allowed to use binoculars!   This made it harder to scope out the rings on the 3D targets and leveled the playing field a lot!

I ended up walking away with a 1st place ribbon in Women's Compound Fixed Pins (with a score of 142) and I believe Steve ended up around 4th (with a 144... beat me again!).

Here are some photos from our day at the turkey shoot in Maple Ridge...  Big thanks to the Maple Ridge Archery Club for organizing and hosting the shoot!
